Yeah seriously.

But Skel, if you want it to get more exciting then I suggest you do something to help accomplish that. :)

ok, more excitment...
Whats everyones thoughts on vista, and its implementation of trusted computing?

hey, anyone seen hoverball before? (http://games.mymyah.com/Arcade/Hoverball/)
found it through looking for "shotgun debugger" =D)

anyone have any decent thoughts on Python? or Digital Mars's D?
im hoping GNU are gonna do a full implementation of D myself XD

and to make sure someone was offended:
whats up with bmpx? amarok uses 120 mb, bmpx uses 110, and has less features!

Firstly, he isn't actually Jewish.
Secondly, he insulted my former religious beliefs before.
Thirdly, he was instrumental in the creation of a neo-Nazi group called the NSDUP where he and other members of their group harassed, bullied, and beat blacks, gays, jews, and fat people.
Fourth, meh.

As far as Skelator is concerned as of late, he doesn't seem to have anything positive to contribute anymore. All I'm trying to do is create a positive. Igglybob knows mathematics fairly well... Two negatives equals a positive. :p

I don't have many thoughts on Vista, to be honest... It looks like just another step in the NT direction as far as I can see... They're just trying to make Windows NT for regular home use, and gamers.

However, I'll admit when I don't know something, and I have no clue what trusted computing means...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trusted_computing

a couple of features may be quite nice for end users with little/no tech knowlage
i think itll suck for the rest of the world though

my main concern is how much MS is gonna force it on everyone

Remember, a good deal of the trusted computing is being pushed by Hollywood et al. In my personal opinion Microsoft isn't a terrible company. They're not great either, but like any other corporation they go where the money is.

I don't know what I'm writing anymore, so I'll stop.

Any ideas for lightweight alternatives to bmpx?

Ignoring Gothreys childish remarks....

My bmpx was too buggy so I went back to bmp and streamtuner....

My amarok always crashes during the find media scan so I havent had much of a chance to get used to it.

There's not much good multimedia stuff for linux but ya could try zinf.... I dunno if it's any good cos I haven't used it for ages. Streamtuner is definitely worth checking out if you haven't done so already.

man, i feel kinda swamped with the amount of multimedia stuff for linux...
amarok still really does everything i want, and i dont notice a perf impact on games with it open, perhaps to try the beta 1.4?
ktorrent1.1 has some probs for me, but installing 1.2 from source makes it all cool (ive tried dapper, but im back on breesy until its stable...)

If you would talk to a random person on the street in HR slang that person wouldn't get it either...
